I am fascinated by other cultures and different landscapes, by adventures and the silence of remote outdoor  life. On these pages I give an impression of some trips I made and countries I visited.

As travel guide I mostly used the books by “Lonely Planet”. Especially for low budget traveling LP is  gorgeous. It supplies good information on general issues, lists the main tourist attractions as well as some tiny treasures far off the beaten track. For my travels in South America I used the “South American Handbook” which is said to be better than the Lonely Planet - and for me the Handbook worked out perfectly.
